For nearly two centuries, Cape Ann Massachusetts has been a destination for some of the finest painters who paint en plein air. Throughout its four picturesque seaside communities, Cape Ann Plein Air, a nationally recognized arts organization will host it's fifth annual week-long plein air painting competition October 4th-11th 2020. This time of year is when the famous Cape Ann light shines at its very best!
CAPA will bring 35 of the finest artists in the nation to compete for over $20,000 in prizes and awards while raising awareness of all that painting en plein is!
Many paintings will be available for sale during the full duration of the competition and festival. Selected works will be shown and available for sale during the Gala Reception and Awards Presentation, at the conclusion of the competition. This is your chance to purchase works by some of the top names in contemporary painting.
